Governance

Governance of the school has been structured in such a way that it provides the flair and flavor of Parliamentary democracy that has been set in motion in our country by our beloved monarch.

School Management Board (SMB) is the apex decision making body of the school in matters related to the policy and overall management of the school. However, SMB will not interfere in the day-to-day affairs of the school. The SMB will comproise members drawn from amongst the parents, two school captains as the student representative and a representative of general staff of the school. The Principal will be the member Secretary, and the Proprietor of the school will be the chairperson of the board. The SMB will be function as per the SMB policy and procedures.

Principal is the head of the school. S/he is responsible for the smooth functioning of the school with support of two Assistant Principals – one each for Academic and Non-Academic affairs of the school.

School Management Team (SMT) comprising of senior staff of the school, Staff Secretary as member Secretary, and Principal as the Chairperson is next level of decision making body in the school. The SMT will be responsible for the smooth operation of the school, and therefore will look into the functioning of the school.

The SMT is supported by various committees formed as per the exigencies of the work. Some of the important committees in the school are Admission Committee, Examination Committee, Discipline Committee and Mess Committee. Each of the committee will be guided and supported the Assistant Principals.

In order to inculcate a greater sense of participation and voice of students in decision making, student also form committees. Some of the committees are:

  1. Academic Committee
  2. Health Committee
  3. Hostel Committee
  4. Student Support Service Committee
  5. Discipline Committee

Each of the committee has members ranging from 3-5 students with a captain as the chairperson. The findings from each of the committee will be tabled for monthly discussion which will be chaired by the School captains. The pertinent points from the monthly discussion will be submitted to Principal for information and necessary support. Further, the points will also be submitted to term wise Yoezerling Students’ Parliament for further deliberation.
